Job Description:
The role is part of the Global Site Infrastructure Team, responsible for management of all local infrastructure services & projects in the Hackettstown, NJ location, covering all segments. The role is also responsible for our managed service delivery across responsible sites managing day-to day activities of contractor resources. A key part of the role is to lead one of our Northeast services, leading a group of peers to measure and improve service delivery at regional level and liaising with counterparts in the other regions. What are we looking for?
- 5+ years’ experience in IT service management, IT project management, or similar experience
- Undergraduate related degree or related experience
- Corporate IT experience
- Experience managing IT change within a business context
- Broad understanding of infrastructure technology
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- ITIL certification is preferred
What will be your key responsibilities?
- Service management of all local infrastructure services in the HKT, N.J. MW Market Hub location
- Build, maintain & implement ongoing site infrastructure improvement plan (incl. servers & computer room, end user support etc)
- Day to day execution of site business operations activities should be a minority component of the role, although still accountable for the service delivery to the site(s)
- Identify opportunities for improved reliability, supportability or efficiency & incorporate into plan
- Manage resources to implement hands-on aspects of the plan
- Work with project teams / application owners to recommend appropriate solutions such as local hosting options
- Regularly review site service levels, project activities, site infra roadmap etc. with BP teams & understand their priorities & the impact of these on the site infrastructure
- Plan & request CAB budget for the site(s)
- Manage more complex technical requests not typically handled by the Business operations roles
- Manage larger, more complex technical projects for the site(s)
- Make recommendations on and lead infrastructure / service improvement projects across region/ market / segment
- Proactive driving of a specific technology, process or service area across multiple sites or the region AND/OR lead centrally driven deployments across multiple sites or the region, working with requesting team to define appropriate deployment plan & recommend any changes following pilot phase. This should take up at least 20% of the individual's role.
