The U.S. Site HR Manager is a liaison between the HR Business Partners, the HR Operations team and HR’s Centers of Excellence (COE’s). Responsible for supporting the site employees and managers by acting as a resource relating to HR principles, policies and philosophies. Acts as the site “eyes and ears” by observing and guiding site culture, listening to employee and manager concerns, tending rumors, and relaying observations to the HR team sensing discussions.

What You Can Expect

Maintains partnerships across the HR function to deploy HR directed programs, and local HR related initiatives.  Supports site leaders, team leaders, managers and employees in the Burlington (VT), Rochester (MN), and Minnetonka (MN) sites, as follows:   

 

1. Supports Site Leaders at each site, providing guidance and advice.  Presents at site All-Hands meetings as needed.   Supports executive site visits by providing culture updates and site demographic slides.  Interprets site-based employee survey results and presents a summary to site leaders. 

2. Fosters and supports site and company culture, ensuring alignment with HR principles, policies and philosophies.  Ensures site activities and culture align with Marvell standards, and HR and legal compliance.  Serves on the Burlington Leadership Team and supports the Minnesota sites management teams.        

3. Guides managers in addressing employee performance or behavior concerns, involving the appropriate HRBP as necessary.  Directs employees and managers to appropriate contacts and resources. 

4. Acts as a sounding board for managers and employees by discussing questions, concerns and situations, giving advice on how to approach.

5. Provides and amplifies general HR communications and HR related reminders to managers and employees.

6. Assists with HR directed site activities such as annual benefits open enrollment and workshops / trainings as directed.

7. Participates in regularly scheduled HR team meetings.  Assists with HR specific projects as needed.

8. Supports the legal team with investigations as required. 

9. Acts as the primary I-9 agent for the Burlington site. 

10.Travels to the Rochester (MN) ad Minnetonka (MN) sites at least quarterly, serving as the face of HR, engaging with and supporting local employees and managers.           

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related field or 5 or more years of related equivalent professional work experience.
  • Demonstrated communication and listening skills to be an effective partner with all levels of the organization, internal and external to HR.
  • Ability to work within a matrixed reporting HR organization, communicating and working with appropriate team members as situations and matters dictate. 
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to change.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks with competing priorities in an interruptive environment.
  • Ability to gain the respect and confidence of employees of all levels. 
  • Demonstrate a high sense of urgency in driving key initiatives and resolution to sensitive issues.
  • Experience facilitating team activities, training and/or intervention sessions.
  • High proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel & PowerPoint and Workday HCM.
  • Ability to travel to the Rochester (MN) and Minnetonka (MN) sites quarterly, and to Marvell headquarters in Santa Clara (CA) once per year. 

Expected Base Pay Range (USD)

124,200 - 183,820, $ per annum

The successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location and market conditions. The expected base pay range for this role may be modified based on market conditions.
