About the role:
In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop features that enhance the user experience, optimize conversion and retention rates, integrate feedback loops, monitor key metrics, and ensure reliability of our acquisition funnel. By understanding customer needs and staying updated on industry trends, you will drive continuous improvement to deliver a seamless and positive journey for users from acquisition to ongoing engagement and support.
What you will do:
- Collaborate with other members of the Growth Engineering team to define the scope and scale of software projects.
- Design and implement scalable applications, web services, and APIs.
- Collaborate with product and design teams to develop user interfaces.
- Develop solutions that are mindful of the end user experience.
- Troubleshoot and fix bugs.
- Write technical documents.
- Identify bottlenecks and improve software efficiency.
- Critically think about foundational areas of the Vercel application.
- Develop and maintain internal software tools.
- Review and provide feedback on contributions from other members of the engineering team.
About You:
- You have 5+ years of experience in full stack development.
- You have spent time developing, automating, maintaining, and reviewing frontend code.
- You have advanced experience with application development and architecture and are an accomplished programmer.
- You have experience collaborating with product and design contributors to achieve a common goal.
- You have an eye for good user experiences and want to create pleasant UX.
- You want to work with your colleagues to iterate on your proposals and implementation details.
Bonus if You:
- Have experience with Next.js and the Vercel platform.
- Are interested in prioritizing development of your technical reading and writing skills.
- Are familiar with the developer tooling domain.

The San Francisco, CA base pay range for this role is $200,000 - $240,000. This salary range is an estimate. Actual salary will be based on job related skills, experience and location. Pay ranges outside San Francisco may be adjusted based on employee location. The total compensation package also includes benefits and equity-based compensation.
