Job Title:Site EHS Specialist
Summary:The Site EHS Specialist directs & support the implementation of site EHS programs. The position provides leadership and technical expertise to meet MPM EHS performance objectives and compliance with local regulations & requirements. The Ohta Site Leader and Japan EHS Leader will ensure application of EHS technical expertise as appropriate.
Responsibilities Include:
Operational EHS Management
- Support to manage site EHS management program improvement with Ohta EHS & operation team. Understand requirement of local regulation and Momentive EHS standards, and cascade EHS management programs in site. EHS management programs includes Industrial hygiene (IH), environment (atmosphere, water, soil and waste), and other requirements like ISO 14001/45001, sustainability, regulations (Fire code etc.) and safety culture implementation. Those covered areas decided with personal skills, background & he/her willing.
Leadership & Capability Building
- Act as an interface between regional/global EHS & site, with support from Japan EHS leader and EHS team.
Qualifications:
The following are required for the role
- BS degree+ in engineering, chemistry, environmental science or equivalent combination of backgrounds or experience is preferable.
- Have business level oral and written communication skills in Japanese.
- Have conversational level oral and written communication skills in English is preferable.
- Have knowledge or experience of Industrial hygiene, environmental or waste management is preferable.
- Have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization.
- Have passion, willing to learn, and to take challenges.
