Position Summary:
The Site Director leads all operations for the Ohio Illumynt Campus, overseeing two facilities totaling nearly 200,000 square feet of production space located at 2553 and 2663 Global Court. This role is responsible for building, developing, and leading a high-performing operations team while driving accountability across all Columbus site activities. The Site Director establishes and executes production strategies, sets clear performance targets, and ensures disciplined execution to consistently meet or exceed operational goals.
In close partnership with internal stakeholders, the Site Director plans, directs, and optimizes all operational workflows to maximize throughput, efficiency, and quality. This leader ensures full compliance with Illumynt operational standards while maintaining optimal staffing levels, fostering strong employee engagement, and promoting a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement. The role is ultimately accountable for delivering operational excellence, maintaining a clean and safe work environment, and driving scalable, high-performance production outcomes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Achieve warehouse operational objectives by implementing strategic plans, identifying and resolving problems, measuring and auditing quality standards, and identifying trends.
- Responsible for recruiting, selecting, onboarding, and training programs for full-time and temporary employee staffing to ensure competencies are aligned with roles and duties and are performed safely and efficiently.
- Accountable for continuous improvement of inventory accuracy by implementing and managing an inventory control system, identifying discrepancies in inventory counts, and taking corrective actions to guard against future inconsistencies.
- Responsible for Columbus site P&L performance (material, labor, indirect, etc.) and improvement initiatives.
- Maintain and improve operational systems by determining product handling and storage requirements; maintaining and evaluating policies and procedures for shipping and receiving product; and maximizing equipment and manpower utilization.
- Responsible for the implementation, management, and achievement of illumynt internal and customer KPIs and SLAs.
- Accomplish department objectives by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining full-time and temporary employees; and initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
- Address performance, behavior, or conduct issues in accordance with the illumynt progressive disciplinary action process and provide proper follow-up documentation to Human Resources.
- Responsible for all safety and security training of the assigned operations staff.
- Create, document, and maintain workflow models for various warehouse locations consistent with illumynt policies and processes.
- Field product and process questions from all teams and coordinate interaction with the necessary departments.
- Uphold all ISO, OSHA, and R2 standards applicable to the responsibilities outlined above.
- Provide backup and support for Operations Supervisor(s) and all staff as needed to ensure operational excellence.
- Perform other project management functions as assigned by Management.
Candidate Requirements:
- 7+ years of progressive operations or warehouse management experience, with at least 2 years in a site leadership or director-level role.
- Bachelor’s degree in operations management, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or a related field preferred.
- Demonstrated experience managing P&L, staffing, and multi-functional operations teams.
- Strong knowledge of inventory control systems, warehouse management platforms, and operational KPIs.
- Familiarity with ISO, OSHA, and R2 compliance standards.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Proven ability to drive continuous improvement in fast-paced, high-volume environments.
