Job Description

AECOM is seeking for an experienced Site Construction Manager – Site-Based for employment in Bogota, Colombia.

The responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Supervises the execution of construction activities directly on-site, ensuring alignment with project drawings, specs, quality, and safety requirements.
  • Monitors daily progress of subcontractors and coordinates resolution of technical issues that arise during execution.
  • Conducts field inspections, documents site conditions, and reports non-conformities to ensure corrective measures are implemented.
  • Provides overall management of administration to project and assists in establishing project specific objectives and policies.
  • Provides technical direction, enforces company and project policies, maintains close client interface, and ensures all facets of the project are constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule.
  • Manages one or more complex projects, involving a combination of the following:
    • Clients with a national geographic footprint; OR,
    • Projects involving a full spectrum of services offered by IE; OR,
    • Other complexities, such as projects that involve litigation, environmental protection, due diligence, etc.
  • Manages all phases of projects (from beginning to close out).
  • Has consenting and regulatory authority for approvals.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • BSc. in engineering, architecture or related field with +4 years of experience in construction or construction management or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
  • Experience in tenant improvement or corporate fit-out projects.
  • Experienced with MEP systems and finishes. 
  • Fluent in English /Spanish.

Additional Information

Preferred Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in construction or construction management
  • PMP Certification
  • Experience with Datacenters, IT & Electrical systems is highly valued.
