Job Description:
A vacancy for a Reliability, Maintainability and Testability (RMT) Engineer has arisen within Airbus Defence & Space in Getafe.
Reliability, Maintainability and Testability (RMT) is a major core process of Support Engineering and Integrated Logistic Support. The RMT process is fully integrated with design, development and verification processes.
One of the main functions and roles of RMT is to participate in development activities to ensure “Design to Services”.
The main responsibilities are:
- Establish and agree with the Design Office and Suppliers the RMT Requirements and ensure that they are implemented in the design.
- Perform Maintainability, Reliability, Operational & Mission Reliability, Availability and Maintenance Economics Analysis and produce engineering design documentation (FMECA, Failure Catalogue, BIT concept document, MTA, QMA, FRACAS…)
- Perform Maintainability Demonstration (On-Aircraft and with Digital Mock-Up).
- Attend Design Reviews with Design Office and Customers
- Representation of RMT discipline within multi-disciplinary design teams.
- Link to Design Offices (concurrent engineering) and Suppliers regarding RAMT issues (requirements, deliverables)
- Support to other areas in Customer Services (ILS, Technical Publications, Materiel Services)
- Responsible for RMT data in Logistics Data Bases
- Support to the offers preparation.
- Conduct technical investigations to establish the root cause of in-service problems and recommend cost-effective corrective action(s) to be implemented
- Prepare and developed RMT procedures, guidelines and technical reports for the customer.
- Answer Customer queries dealing with RMT issues
