Learn/understand the optical component / integrated circuit design flow used in industry.
Learn/understand the design constraint / trade-off to be considered in industry.
Think outside the box and design innovative optical device / integrated circuit while considering the industry’s requirements above.
What We're Looking For
Student in Ph.D degree program
Solid understanding of semiconductor optical devices such as modulators, detectors, lasers and other waveguide devices.
Familiarity or direct experience in the standard Si/CMOS process technologies required for fabrication of electro-optical devices.
Familiarity or direct experience of optical simulation software tools and/or optical device modeling.
Ability to present the data and ideas to a diverse audience.
