Title: Signal Processing Software Engineer - 118957

Your Responsibilities
As a Signal Processing Software Engineer for JD Intelligent Solutions Group (ISG) located in Torrance, CA, you will:
- Develop a GNSS measurement engine that supplies precise signal measurements to the navigator while adapting to diverse operational scenarios like shading, scintillation, and interference
- Major portion of work will be creating firmware that controls logic for acquiring and tracking satellite signals
- Work with team to transition FPGA logic into an Application Specific Integrated Circuit (ASIC) for product integration that improves sensitivity and performance of GNSS receivers
- Evaluate early prototypes using FPGA and discrete RF front ends on overall system performance through lab testing

What Skills You Need
- SW programming knowledge with emphasis in embedded programming.
- A good understanding of GNSS signals and communication techniques
- Proficient in creating and implementing designs in Matlab that acquire and track satellite and terrestrial signals in both digital and software control logic
- Proficiency with C++ and real time software
What Makes You Standout
- Good experience in writing real time firmware code that will control acquisition and tracking loops of the measurement engine
- Some experience working with Verilog and RF concepts for overall system integration of major components into a working navigation system
- Familiarity with researching and developing algorithms for incorporating new GNSS signals
- 3-5 years firmware experience used in satellite signal acquisition and tracking algorithms
- Good knowledge of one or several GNSS constellation GPS, Galileo, Glonass and Beidou satellite waveforms and data structuresAble to read and understand satellite signal interface control documents
- Strong Comms theoretical background with understanding of link budgets and demodulation/decoding algorithms
- General knowledge of RF and Digital test equipment, encompassing spectrum analyzers, signal generators, high-speed oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers
- Adept at working with Verilog code for FPGA implementation
Education
- Bachelor's in signal processing with emphasis in Satellite communication.
- MSEE preferred
