The Role

We are looking for a talented Signal Processing Communication Engineer to develop, validate, and correlate IBIS-AMI models for high-speed wireline communication links. This role focuses on designing accurate behavioural models that align with real-world SerDes performance, ensuring high-quality simulations for NVIDIA’s customers. Your models will help customers confidently design their systems before integrating our hardware, driving the adoption of NVIDIA’s high-speed solutions. While the primary responsibility is IBIS-AMI model development and lab correlation, this position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to broader SerDes research and development, shaping future high-speed link architectures. You will collaborate with analog and digital designers, signal integrity engineers, and post-silicon engineers to ensure models accurately represent system performance. If you are excited about solving complex signal processing challenges and working on cutting-edge technology, we want to hear from you!

What you will be doing:

  • Develop and validate IBIS-AMI behavioral models for high-speed SerDes.

  • Correlate simulation results with lab measurements to improve model accuracy.

  • Work closely with cross-disciplinary teams to ensure accurate and reliable model representation.

  • Support application engineers and customers using the models in system simulations.

  • Contribute to the DSP architecture and modeling strategies for next-generation SerDes designs.

What we need to see:

  • BS, MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.

  • 2+ years of experience in Signal Processing, or Communications.

  • Strong MATLAB development skills (Simulink is a plus).

  • Solid understanding of high-speed communication systems and mixed-signal processing.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent collaboration skills and ability to work with multiple teams.

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  • Familiarity with IBIS-AMI standards and SerDes modelling methodologies.

  • Hands-on lab experience in communication systems.

  • Background in signal integrity.

  • Strong Python programming skills.
