If your answer is YES, then we invite you to join us! A thrilling opportunity has opened up for a permanent full-time Ships Agency Operator to become part of our team in Christchurch, New Zealand.

A Day in the Life of a Ship Agent:

• As a Ship’s Agent, your responsibilities include coordinating vessel operations, from planning arrivals to berthing, loading, and departures in collaboration with all Port Stakeholders.
• Operate independently at a one-man port, confidently managing day-to-day responsibilities with minimal oversight.
• Act as the key liaison on the ground, building strong working relationships and ensuring seamless port calls.
• Your role involves continuous learning about business opportunities, port activities, and regulatory updates to stay informed and effective in your duties.
• Be prepared for some out-of-hours and weekend work as we are a 24/7 industry but we also offer a unique degree of flexibility

Who You Are:

• You're a self-motivated, results-driven individual who thrives working independently, without needing day-to-day support or supervision.
• While experience in the Shipping Industry is a plus, we value a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and a proactive attitude above all.
• You’re detail-oriented, administratively capable, and confident using digital tools to stay organised and informed.
• You thrive under pressure, meet deadlines effectively, and approach challenges as opportunities for growth.
• Safety, compliance, and wellness are paramount to you and your team's success.
• You must possess a valid New Zealand work permit, driver's license and driving experience.
