QUALIFICATIONS NECESSARY TO DO THE JOB:
- Previous shipping and receiving experience is preferred
- Proven good understanding of warehousing, inventory management, shipping and receiving procedures are preferred.
- Must have strong computer skills in Microsoft package.
- Must be Forklift certified and able to undergo testing.
- Must have demonstrated strong organizational skills.
- Must be able to distinguish color.
MAIN DUTIES:
- Prepare and verify records of receipt of incoming material and equipment and posts to open order of suppliers. Notifies departments of received packages, etc.
- Participate in continuous improvement programs and activities to ensure meeting of departmental performance objectives.
- Establish and maintain auditable records of all receipts and shipments.
- Input and retrieve data from computer to record, update and monitor shipments and dispositions to ensure we are supporting our customer(s).
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks, which requires driving a forklift and lifting of packages.
- Coordinate and arrange trucks in a timely fashion to ensure goods are shipped from Decostar.
- Prepare accurate bills of lading, dray tickets, and shipping documents.
- Coordinate and complete physical inventories and cycle counts as scheduled. Reconcile variances and assist in corrective actions to prevent further occurrences.
- Follow standard operating procedures as outlined in Decostar ISO system for receiving and shipping goods.
- Communicate and prepare reports.
- Other duties as assigned
