Job Summary
The Specialist, Shipboard Operations PMO, plays a critical role in supporting the governance, coordination, and structured execution of initiatives across Shipboard Operations. In this role, you will partner with Marine, Hotel, Port Operations, and supporting functions to ensure projects are properly tracked, documented, and aligned with established PMO standards.
This role does not own operational execution but ensures that initiatives are organized, transparent, and progressing according to agreed timelines. The position requiers strong analytical thinking, excellent communication skills, and the ability to maintain structured oversight across multiple workstreams. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environment.
Essential Functions- Support the tracking and documentation of shipboard initiatives, projects, and operational priorities within PMO tools and governance frameworks
- Maintain project records, status updates, risk logs, and documentation to ensure visibility and alignment across Shipboard Operations
- Assist in the preparation of reporting materials and dashboards summarizing progress, risks, and key milestones for leadership review
- Coordinate cross-functional meetings related to shipboard initiatives, documenting action items and ensuring follow-through.
- Issue and track tasks resulting from governance forums, alignment meetings, and project reviews.
- Support the intake and organization of new initiatives within the Shipboard Operations portfolio structure.
- Assist with the standardization and continuous improvement of PMO processes, templates, and reporting tools.
- Monitor deadlines and escalate potential timeline risks to PMO leadership when necessary.
- Provide structured administrative support related to project governance, documentation management, and tool optimization.
Competency
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Operations, or related field preferred (relevant experience may substitute)
- 2+ years of experience in project coordination, program support, or operational administration
- Experience with project and collaboration tools such as Smartsheet, Microsoft Planner, SharePoint, BI dashboards, or similar platforms
- Strong organizational and documentation skills with high attention to detail
- Ability to summarize project status clearly for leadership audiences
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
- Proactive mindset with strong accountability and follow-through

What We Do
Designed to combine the luxury lifestyle of The Ritz-Carlton® and the casual freedom of a yachting vacation, The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection will offer voyages on three custom-built yachts. Calling on unique and distinguished destinations alike, most voyages range from seven to ten nights, offering many overnight calls and uniquely curated experiences ashore. Each yacht will feature 149 suites, each with its own private terrace, and accommodate up to 298 guests in a relaxed, casually elegant atmosphere. As with The Ritz-Carlton® on land, each yacht will feature personalized service, elevated dining and luxury amenities. The yachts are also available for private charter.
