Job Description
NBCUniversal seeks a self-motivated and creative team leader and an individual with proven experience in the Film and Television set lighting Rental-House industry.
You will be supporting the set lighting requirements at Sky Studios Elstree - the world's most sustainable film and TV studio. With 13 sound stages, the studios are host to major motion pictures and television productions.
The Shift Leader for Set Lighting is a full-time position with senior/advanced level responsibility across the entire range of the operational area.

What you'll do...
- Communicating goals and deadlines to team members in your shift.
- Planning workloads and delegating tasks.
- Creating a productive work environment for the team.
- Assessing team performance and providing feedback to employees.
- Assisting with the daily operation of the organisation.
- Assisting Operations Manager where required.
- Performing customer service functions, including interacting with customers and answering questions.
- Provide and communicate any changes made by the crew and/or production.
- Complete all required paperwork, liaising with the Warehouse Inventory Coordinator and Operations Manager.
- Work with Account Manager(s) and Fleet manager to ensure all delivery/pick-up information is correct.
- Maintain a productive and safe environment.
- Maintain a tidy warehouse.
- Coordinate with Warehouse Departments on orders for dispatch.
- Regularly ensure the warehouse is compliant with company Health & Safety procedures.
- Coordinate with the Account Managers on short list updates.
- Assist on-site crews during their loads/unloads, managing their needs.
- Oversee equipment loads to ensure safety and conformity.

Qualifications
What you must have:
- Proven knowledge of motion picture and television industry production support services.
- Proven experience as a Shift Leader or relevant managerial role.
- Knowledge of the industry and relevant health and safety regulations.
- Commitment to excellent service.
- Work well within a team.
- Leadership skills and ability to make decisions fast.
- Strong problem-solving aptitude.
- Must have an advanced knowledge of film and television set lighting equipment and power distribution, minimum of 5 years' experience preferred.
- Must be capable to drive a forklift.
- Basic first aid and Fire Marshall trained.
- Strong communication and written skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong computer skills: ability to understand multiple operating systems and the RTPro rental software.
- Must be physically fit to carry out manual handling (regularly required to move lights, cables and other objects weighing up to 32kg).
- Available to work a 40-hour week on an alternate shift pattern of 0700hrs to 1600hrs and 1000hrs to 1900hrs Monday to Friday. Some additional weekend and overtime work will be required as the business demands.
What would make you stand out:
- Knowledge of rental software RTPro an advantage, but training given.
- A background in a film industry rental house.
- Knowledge/interest of Film and Television Set Lighting.
