Iron Mountain is seeking a motivated and experienced SHEQ Advisor to join our Safety, Health, Environment & Quality team.

In this role, you will be responsible for driving a proactive safety, health, environmental, and quality culture across site warehouse and distribution operations, with a key focus on fresh food/food industry compliance, UK/EU regulatory standards, and ISO management frameworks (9001, 14001, 45001).

What You’ll Do

In this role, you will:

  • Conduct daily site audits, risk assessments, and Safe Systems of Work (SSOW) reviews across warehouse, dock, and yard areas, while performing root-cause investigations and implementing CAPA plans for all incidents.

  • Collaborate with operational teams, the site SHEQ Committee, external regulatory inspectors, and client audit teams to deliver safety inductions, contractor clearances, and regular toolbox talks.

  • Ensure compliance with food industry safety standards, UK/EU regulations, HSE requirements, RIDDOR reporting, COSHH storage, chemical spill readiness, energy reduction initiatives, and ISO management frameworks.

What You’ll Bring

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Commercial experience in a dedicated SHEQ role within a high-volume logistics, fulfillment, or distribution warehouse environment, with practical experience in the food/fresh food industry.

  • Strong knowledge of MHE operations, racking systems, manual handling regulations, COSHH assessments, and ISO 9001/14001/45001 internal auditing.

  • Proven ability in behavioral safety leadership, conflict resolution, cross-functional communication, and continuous improvement.

  • NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent IOSH Managing Safely certification).
