About The Opportunity
The role of the Group Leader-Sheeting is to provide guidance to employees in the department in the Supervisor’s absence.Essential Functions:
- Demonstrate commitment to safety and perform job duties in accordance with company safety policies and procedures
- Demonstrate commitment to quality and perform job duties in adherence to GMP guidelines
- Read work orders to determine properly preformed products are produced
- Maintain accurate production records
- Communicate information as needed to employees, shift supervisor and next shift group leader or machine operator
- Ensure high levels of production, maximizing efficiency with planned work assignments
- Maintain a clean work area ensuring a safe working environment
- Train new operators as needed
- Oversee general preventive maintenance on equipment
- Operate equipment as necessary to maintain productivity during the operator’s absence
- Maintain high efficiency according to established rates during operation of the assigned equipment
- Work with peers and other departments to improve quality and performance
- Understand department communication systems, schedules, time/attendance system and job reporting requirements
- Perform other duties as assigned by management/supervisors
