Main Accountabilities:
- Follow all plant safety requirements and participate in activities to continuously improve safety performance. Lead/participate in department and site safety initiatives including attending and leading safety meetings as assigned.
- Support the SHE Manager and Operation team with planning, coordinating and implementing effective SHE policies, rules, guidelines and procedures, related SHE statutory requirements, Synthomer SHEMS Standards, Environment Monitoring and Compliance to ensure safe operation and compliance.
- Assistant to SHE Manager as the focal point for all communication and dealings with local authorities such as DOSH, DOE, MPPG, BOMBA, Johor Port Authorithy etc.
- Lead, coordinate and implement all workplace SHE inspections.
- Lead site Emergency Response test plan, drills, exercises, trainings.
- Manage all aspects of PPE requirements.
- Coordinate in Industrial Hygiene Activities.
- Involve directly in coordinating and work flow of SHEMS such as Permit To Work, Management of Change etc.
- Coordinate maintenance of ER equipment including Fire Extinguishers and other fire detection and protection equipment.
- Function as Safety Coordinator in the Lotus Notes System is necessary.
- Coordinate and implement the site SHE Training program.
- Conduct SHE inductions, specific SHE trainings, toolbox meetings as required.
- Prepare and submit SHE monthly report and SHE Portal Report.
- Prepare and report the Annual SHE data return and Annual Report to authorities.
- Participate and assist in any accident or incident investigation of the site.
- Carry out internal or external SHE audits as per planned schedule or as instructed by SHE Manager.
- Coordinate and implement SAP requirement with regards to Work Orders, PR and GRN.
- Stop any activity or instruct shut down any equipment if deem unsafe.

Skills Required
- Lead and conduct workplace SHE inspections and audits
