The SharePoint Specialist will be responsible for implementing and maintaining our SharePoint ecosystem. This role involves managing and optimizing SharePoint environments within the organization, spanning technical administration, solution development, and user support.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain SharePoint sites, including site architecture, creation, permissions, and external sharing
- Handle document management, ensuring efficient storage and retrieval
- Collaborate with stakeholders to plan and execute site enhancements
- Oversee SharePoint applications and projects
- Develop solutions using Power Platform tools by gathering requirements according to business needs
- Build forms using SharePoint application pages, web parts, templates, workflows, and integrated SharePoint solutions
- Create, manage, and configure SharePoint sites, libraries, lists, features, functions, security groups, user permissions, content types, and columns
- Review and configure user accounts, permission groups, and sites, and safeguard critical data regularly
- Stay updated on SharePoint and other relevant products under Microsoft 365
- Independently research, design, and deploy solutions
- Establish and enforce governance policies and best practices for SharePoint usage
- Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards
Technical Qualifications:
- Experience in SharePoint, interconnected services, and related products
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and related web technologies
- Knowledge of Power Platform, Microsoft Teams, Stream, Outlook, Calendar, Visio, and other Microsoft 365 products
- Knowledge of PowerShell scripting for task automation and configuration management
Personal Skills:
- Ability to communicate well verbally and in writing with various levels, from junior developers to executive staff
- Ability to stay calm and professional in troubleshooting and resolving support issues
- Ability to present information clearly and respond to questions promptly and professionally
- Ability to quickly learn new concepts and software
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to adjust tasks and schedules and adapt to changing priorities
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Enjoys working with people and training others
Education and Work Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: SharePoint Associate) are a plus
