Summary:
This sewing position, also referred to as a "Cap Flanger", will be responsible for a variety of sewing machines to sew border, bottom panel and flange material together to form the bottom covering of a one-sided mattress.
Essential Duties:
- This person will read the information on the order ticket and collect the accurate materials to be sewn.
- The operator takes the side border of the mattress and sews it to the bottom cloth panel.
- While sitting, the operator uses hand movement to push the border through the sewing machine jaws as it is sewn to the panel.
Requirements
- Very good hand-eye coordination
- Work in a fast-paced environment
- Sit and/or stand in place for extended periods of time
- Read and comprehend basic order information
- Work flexible hours, including overtime - and Saturdays as needed
- Previous sewing experience preferred
