The Operations department performs efficient day-to-day administrative and operational functions of a business. They implement processes, ensure helpful services for customers, and perform the primary tasks of the organisation.
Job Overview
Operations carries out the designated day-to-day tasks to ensure the business operates efficiently and effectively. Focusing on Payments and Reconciliations, the Settlements Operations Analyst ensures the company mitigates financial risk and provides a valued service to its clients.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
- Liaise with Clients, Brokers and Banks to facilitate settlement of FX transactions and cash flows
- Account reconciliation and remediation
- Inward/Outward payment entry
- Payment verification, approval and release
- Payment error investigation and resolution
- Undertaking Safeguarding and CASP daily requirements
- Preparation of monthly account financial reconciliation reports
- Preparation of monthly regulatory reports to Bank of Spain and CNMV
Key Skills & Experience Required
- Experience in international payments is required
- Experience in customer service is advantageous
- Ability to anticipate issues and risks, and mitigate accordingly
- Able to demonstrate credibility in dealing with clients and colleagues across a complex organization with different cultures and geographies
- Experience ensuring and maintaining the standard of all documentation for their department’s systems, controls, policies and processes
- Demonstrate professional acumen, integrity, collaboration, resilience and trustworthiness
- Strong interpersonal, client relationship, influencing and communication skills
- Assertiveness with the ability to influence others in a constructive way
- Strong judgment and problem-solving skills
- MiFID II certification is desirable

Languages
- High standard of oral & written Spanish and English is mandatory
- Fluency in other European languages (e.g. Dutch, French, Luxembourgish etc.) is desirable
