What You'll Be Doing

As a Settlements & Reconciliation Operations Specialist, you'll be responsible for ensuring the integrity and accuracy of transaction processing activities while supporting key operational functions across the business.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Managing settlement and reconciliation processes to ensure transactions are accurately processed and completed within established deadlines.
  • Investigating and resolving exceptions, discrepancies, and unmatched transactions.
  • Performing both automated and manual reconciliation activities across multiple systems and data sources.
  • Monitoring data quality and ensuring the integrity of operational and financial information.
  • Producing operational reports and providing insights to support decision-making and issue resolution.
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders across Operations, Technology, Sales, Client Services, and other business functions.
  • Supporting the resolution of operational incidents and ensuring timely escalation when necessary.
  • Maintaining compliance with internal controls, policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Contributing to audit activities by ensuring proper documentation and process transparency.
  • Identifying opportunities to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and support automation initiatives.

Qualifications

Your Profile

We're looking for someone who brings:

  • Previous experience in Settlements, Reconciliations, Trade Operations, Back Office, or Financial Services Operations.
  • Strong understanding of transaction processing and operational controls.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Familiarity with financial markets, trade lifecycle concepts, or settlement platforms is considered a strong advantage.
  • Experience working with financial systems and operational tools.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • The ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and perform under tight deadlines.
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken).

📍 Location: Lisbon

🕒 Schedule: Night Shift (2:00 PM to 11:00 PM)
