The Settlement Officer will be responsible for the reconciliation and settlement activities within the Function. To facilitate completing an accurate processing of the settlement cycle for all transactions by ensuring the required due diligence is performed.
Responsibilities- Process the end of day closing to ensure proper reconciliation (at night).
- Follow up with other units to ensure end of day closing in a timely manner.
- Send the outgoing files and check the reports to ensure accurate clearing and settlement reconciliation with Card Schemes.
- Follow up with other units to ensure Outgoing/incoming files are sent/received in a timely manner to ensure settlement with the Card Schemes entities.
- Process the daily run and do the needed reconciliation for banks and verification of the net position of each member on daily basis to avoid any financial loss.
- Perform the data entry, collection, and reconciliation of any financial and/or non-financial transaction (i.e. chargebacks, fee collections, etc.) on behalf of the member banks on daily basis efficiently to avoid financial losses to the bank and/or NI Jordan.
- Act as a maker or checker for the daily tasks done by the unit.
- Respond to banks’ inquiries and requests.
- Adhere to audits, PPD, schemes, and other regulators’ mandates and best practices.
- Check all processes through the RPA system.
- Send the VSS reports to banks.
- Perform any duties and tasks assigned by the unit Manager.
- Working during holidays and public holidays.
Education: bachelor’s degree
Experience: (1-3) years of experience
Languages: Arabic and English - Fluent
Computer Skills: Excellent
Business Writing: Very good
Presentation Skills: Very good

- Experience with settlement/reconciliation processes and card schemes
- Proficiency using RPA systems for process checks

- Ability to work nights, holidays, and public holidays
