The Servo Engineer III will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining electro-mechanical systems, with a focus on servo drives and compliance with industrial safety requirements aligned with the Machine Directive and Semi S2 standard. This position will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, and software engineers, to ensure the successful integration and functionality of these systems. The Engineer will also play a key role in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to servo drives, safety PLC programming, and industrial safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities:

Design and develop electro-mechanical systems, with a specific focus on servo drives, safety PLC programming, and adherence to industrial safety requirements aligned with the Machine Directive and Semi S2 standard.

Demonstrates conceptual and practical expertise in own discipline and basic knowledge of related disciplines Collaborates with cross-functional teams to integrate and test electro-mechanical systems, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and standards.

Perform risk assessments and implement appropriate safety measures to mitigate potential hazards.

Develop and maintain documentation, including technical specifications, operation manuals, and safety procedures.

Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to servo drives, safety PLC programming, and industrial safety requirements.

Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in servo drive technology, safety PLC programming, and industrial safety standards.

Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience; may lead small projects with manageable risks and resource requirements
Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Electrical or Electro-Mechanical Engineering

Proven experience in electro-mechanical system design, particularly with servo drives Knowledge of industrial safety requirements aligned with the Machine Directive and Semi S2 standard.

Proficiency in programming languages and safety PLC programming commonly used in industrial automation, preferred Beckhoff

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues; takes a new perspective on existing solutions; exercises judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of informatio

Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional global team; explains difficult or sensitive information; works to build consensus
