The Role

We’re looking for a Services Pre-Sales Manager to partner closely with our Account Teams and position paid Professional Services as a strategic driver of customer adoption and long-term success. You will be part of the Professional Services team, supporting the sales cycle by identifying customer needs, recommending services solutions, and ensuring we set the right foundation for a successful deployment of Asana.

In this role, you will serve as a trusted consultant to both internal stakeholders and customers, working across a rapidly growing and diverse enterprise customer base. You’ll collaborate with our largest and most complex customers, positioning the right services motion—from packaged offerings to custom proposals—and continuously gather insights from delivery teams to ensure our offerings stay relevant, scalable, and impactful.

This role is based in our Chicago office and follows an office-centric hybrid schedule. Most Asanas work from the office on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, with the flexibility to work remotely on Wednesdays and Fridays. Your Talent Acquisition Partner will share more about in-office expectations during the interview process.

What we’ll offer:

  • Advocate for the value of paid services with both customers and internal account teams (e.g., Account Executives, Customer Success Managers), clearly articulating how services accelerate adoption and drive account growth
  • Collaborate with Account Teams to understand customer needs and recommend the right services solution—whether a packaged offering or a custom Statement of Work
  • Provide guidance and enablement to field teams on services offerings, ideal customer profiles, and how to position services alongside other Asana enablement motions
  • Periodically support delivery teams as a part-time Engagement Manager on complex implementations, in partnership with Implementation Managers
  • Gather and synthesize feedback from delivery engagements to refine and evolve our services portfolio and go-to-market strategy
  • Recommend delivery structure and resourcing across in-house and subcontracted Service Partners

About You:

  • 5+ years in customer-facing consulting roles, with experience scoping and selling professional services in partnership with Account Executives and Customer Success teams—ideally in a SaaS environment
  • Proven ability to lead or support the full services sales lifecycle, including custom proposal development, pricing, and contracting (SOWs, Order Forms, etc.)
  • Strong communicator and relationship-builder who can influence stakeholders across technical and business functions with clarity and empathy
  • Experienced in supporting pre-sales efforts such as RFPs/RFIs and comfortable using tools like Salesforce and Asana to manage opportunity data
  • Customer-centric and solutions-oriented, with a high degree of business acumen and a proactive approach to problem-solving in ambiguous environments
  • Demonstrated curiosity about AI tools and emerging technologies, with a willingness to learn and leverage them to enhance productivity, collaboration, or decision-making

We believe that compensation should be reflective of the value you create relative to the market value of your role. To ensure pay is fair and not impacted by biases, we're committed to looking at market value which is why we check ourselves and conduct a yearly pay equity audit.

For this role, the estimated base salary range is between $166,000 - $189,000. The actual base salary will vary based on various factors, including market and individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process. The listed range above is a guideline, and the base salary range for this role may be modified.

In addition to base salary, your compensation package may include additional components such as equity, sales incentive pay (for most sales roles), and benefits.
