The Services Partnerships and Innovation Independent Compliance Risk Management (ICRM) team is responsible for building the global compliance risk management framework and coverage for strategic partnerships, equity investments, and innovation, including GenAI, machine learning, and digital assets.
Serves as an Innovation compliance risk officer for Services ICRM responsible for assisting with internal strategies, policies, procedures, processes, and programs to prevent violations of law, rule, or regulation and design and deliver a risk management framework that maintains risk levels within the firm's risk appetite and protect the franchise. In addition, engages with other Services ICRM Product and Function coverage teams, partnering on the assessment and credible challenge of innovation projects across the Services business. Primary responsibilities include monitoring compliance risk behaviors and providing day-to-day Compliance advice relating to digital assets and GenAI and guidance on relevant rules/laws and interpretation on internal policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Provide guidance on and credible challenge of Services initiatives and communications relating to GenAI and digital assets, particularly as this relates to relevant laws, rules, and regulations
- Collaborate with other internal areas including: Legal, Business Management, Operations, Technology, Finance, other Control Functions, and In-Business Risk to address compliance issues which may impact Services, with a particular emphasis on the unique risks and operational challenges presented by digital assets and GenAI
- Actively monitor global regulatory developments, pronouncements, and enforcement actions related to digital assets and artificial intelligence, and assess their potential impact on the firm's operations and compliance framework
- Design impactful presentations that translate complex industry, regulatory, and compliance considerations into clear insights suitable for diverse audiences, including colleagues and senior compliance management
- Assisting with regulatory inquiries and/or examinations. This may include coordination with regulators and other parties
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency

Qualifications:
- Deep knowledge of Compliance laws, rules, regulations, risks, and typologies, specifically including those governing digital assets, cryptocurrencies, blockchain technology, stablecoins, and tokenized securities
- Familiarity with global regulatory approaches to digital assets is highly desirable
- 6+ Years Required
- Understanding of underlying digital asset and/or artificial intelligence / machine learning technologies and their implications for compliance
- Ability to navigate complex and rapidly evolving regulatory and technological landscapes, particularly within innovation
- Must be a self-starter, flexible, innovative and adaptive
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively and with people at all levels of the organization
- Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent project management and organizational skills and capability to handle multiple projects at one time
- Proficient in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Relevant certifications desirable (e.g., CCE, C4, CFCC, ICA, CCFC, CFC, CCS)
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree; experience in compliance, legal or other control-related function in the financial services firm, regulatory organization, or legal/consulting firm, or a combination thereof; strong working knowledge of digital assets and/or GenAI and the related operations and financial requirements; Advanced degree preferred
