Position Summary:

The Workforce Services Coordinator functions as a member of a team to provide structure to organizational staff and workforce programming to deliver services to the community. Using proficient organizational skills to facilitate effective and efficient data tracking and reporting of all Workforce programs within Social Enterprise.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Participate in pre-enrollment screening of potential Workforce Enterprise applicants. 
  • Coordinate and conduct agency orientation sessions for all new Emancipators, apprentices, and interns. 
  • Coordinate and conduct Workforce program policy trainings. 
  • Regularly review participant timesheets to identify and resolve any issues for payments. 
  • Review and maintain physical and electronic participant files to ensure compliance to prevailing program requirements. 
  • Advise supervisors of possible risk management issues in a timely manner. 
  • Manage documentation and follow-up required for participant corrective action plans. 
  • Prepare weekly check requests for timely review, approval, and processing.
  • Process and report on any staffing related communications from external partners. 
  • Verifying vendors and developing/facilitating the process to disburse the funds.
  • Conduct outreach to outside employers to establish work pathways for participants who complete the Workforce Enterprise programs.
  • Coordinate monthly Job Fairs.
  • Complete all required documentation and reports in a timely fashion.
  • Input client information.
  • Administrative duties such as filing, telephone calls, etc.
  • Attend department and organizational meetings as required.

Requirements

 Competencies:

  • High School Diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Experience working in non-profit organization, or a community clinic preferred.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Proficient in MS Office and Google Suite.
  • Ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds, strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule.
  • Valid California Driver License with safe driving record.
