Services Business Development Manager - Financial Services

As a member of our Services Business Development team, you will be on the frontlines-building excitement and generating demand for Mastercard's differentiated Services portfolio-while partnering closely with solution experts to deliver meaningful client outcomes. As a Services Business Development Manager, you will lead business development and sales activities across Mastercard Services, working with a broad client base primary focusing on financial institutions across Serbia, Bosnia & Herzegovina and Montenegro within the South-East European (SEE) region with a strong focus on deepening and expanding existing client partnerships.
All About the Role
• Shape and execute the Mastercard Services growth strategy across the region, aligned to regional priorities within SEE • Lead end-to-end sales execution, from opportunity identification and qualification through proposal development, executive presentations and contract signature • Partner closely with local market leadership and account teams to identify new opportunities primarily within Financial Services • Own and manage a robust, transparent pipeline, ensuring disciplined sales execution and accurate forecasting • Develop compelling, insight led proposals that clearly articulate client value and Mastercard differentiated capabilities • Build strong, trusted relationships with senior stakeholders across client organizations, including C-suite and decision makers • Act as a strategic advisor to clients, identifying pain points, root causes and tailored solutions that drive measurable outcomes • Collaborate with regional and global Services, product and delivery teams to ensure seamless handover from sales to delivery and identify follow-on opportunities • Contribute to market intelligence, pipeline shaping and best practice sharing across the SEE Services community
All About You
• Undergraduate degree required, Masters, MBA or relevant post graduate degree recommended • Extensive experience in strategy consulting with a strong focus on Financial Services; experience in payments is a plus. Alternatively, proven experience in senior sales or business development roles within Financial Services • Track record of building trusted relationships at C-suite level, exhibit strong relationship management skills using consultative skills to create and convert pipeline opportunities in the market • Demonstrated ability to drive revenue growth fostering lasting partnerships by developing and communicating clear value propositions • Have a strong consultive sales approach focused on meeting the needs of customers by getting to know them and building a trusting relationship with them • Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively in English and in Serbian both verbally and in writing • Entrepreneurial mindset, creativity, self-starter and strong commercial sense • Excellent client management & engagement management skills • Ability to multi-task independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
