About the role
The ServiceNow Solution Architect is a senior technical leader responsible for driving architecture, standards, and solution quality across KL-based delivery squads, with a strong focus on ITSM, platform engineering, and integrations.
This role plays a critical part in stabilizing and scaling delivery capability, ensuring alignment with global architecture standards while supporting high delivery demand and platform evolution.
This role is expected to:
1. Architecture & Solution Design
- Support end-to-end architecture design for KL-owned domains (primarily ITSM & Platform)
- Guide solutions across:
- Incident, Change, Problem, Request Management
- Platform infrastructure (Mid Servers, upgrades, health)
- Service Portal, Mobile, and integrations
- Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture and global ServiceNow strategy
2. Platform Governance & Standards
- Establish and enforce architectural governance, design principles, and best practices
- Drive standardization and reduction of customization in favor of OOTB capabilities
- Ensure solutions meet regulatory, audit, and compliance requirements (e.g., risk, controls, audit readiness)
- Support platform health, upgrade strategy, and long-term sustainability
3. Delivery Leadership
- Partner with Product Owners, Engineering Leads, and Business stakeholders to shape solutions
- Guide squads through design, development, testing, and deployment phases
- Resolve complex technical challenges and dependencies across domains
- Mentor developers and junior architects to elevate overall technical capability
4. Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership and business stakeholders
- Translate business needs into scalable technical solutions
- Lead architecture discussions in governance forums and SteerCo sessions
- Align cross-functional teams (Security, Risk, Asset Management, ITSM, etc.)
5. Integration & Automation Strategy
- Lead architecture for:
- ITSM integrations (upstream/downstream systems)
- Automation use cases (e.g., NowAssist, workflows, AI capabilities)
- Ensure scalable, reusable integration patterns across KL and global teams
Experience:
- 5+ years on the ServiceNow platform
- Proven experience as a Solution Architect or Senior Technical Lead
- Hands-on experience across multiple ServiceNow modules (ITSM, ITOM, GRC, SecOps, CMDB)
Technical Skills:
- ServiceNow architecture and data model (CSDM, CMDB)
- Integration design (APIs, middleware, cloud platforms)
- Security, compliance, and risk frameworks
- Strong understanding of enterprise architecture principles and design patterns
- Strong strategic thinking with execution focus
- Ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive decisions
- Excellent communication skills (technical → executive translation)
- Proven ability to operate in a global, multi-squad environment
- Focus on continuous improvement, automation, and operational excellence
