The Role

We are hiring for ServiceNow Lead Engineer - ITAM to join our India team In this role, you will play a pivotal role in leading, coaching, and mentoring a team of Software Engineers to provide development services for customers. With a focus on ITAM & Discovery and CMDB, Custom & Integrations, you will be responsible for implementing customizations based on functional and technical requirements using best practices and internal code standards for large-scale professional services projects.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Collaborate with end-users, IT teams, and key stakeholders to gather system requirements for ITAM (SAM & HAM), Discovery & CMDB.
  • Guide customers in understanding technical solutions tailored to their business needs with your expertise in ITAM processes
  • Customize ServiceNow applications, configure integrations, and facilitate the rollout of new modules and applications.
  • Mentor project team members through peer reviews, provide technical guidance, and reflect impact assessment rules within service maps.
  • Participate in user acceptance testing, promotion of update sets, and remediation of production incidents related to your scope.
  • Collaborate with the SN technical lead to ensure a consistent approach and maintain operational documentation and SOPs effectively.
What You Bring Along
  • At least 6 years of experience in supporting the implementation, administration, configuration, and/or development of ServiceNow in ITAM, Discovery & CMDB.
  • Proficiency in integrating ServiceNow with other systems/platforms, utilizing Web Services Integration, and working with Data Extraction Technologies.
  • Knowledge of ServiceNow scripting, strategic planning, and the ability to create technical design documents.

Education

  • A four-year undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or relevant work experience is required. Additionally, candidates must be committed to continuous learning within the ServiceNow platform and beyond, including obtaining ServiceNow competency certifications and Module Accreditations.
  • Preferred certifications such as ITIL Foundation, ServiceNow CSA, and CAD are desirable.
