Job Description:
Crowe is seeking an experienced ServiceNow Senior Developer to design, develop, and implement scalable solutions on the ServiceNow platform. This hands-on role will focus on developing enterprise applications, automating business processes, integrating external systems, and delivering high-quality solutions that enable clients to maximize the value of the Now Platform. The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with consulting skills and enjoys solving complex business challenges through innovative platform development.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, configure, and maintain scalable solutions on the ServiceNow platform using platform development best practices.
Develop custom applications, workflows, integrations, and reusable components leveraging JavaScript, Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, Script Includes, Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, UI Actions, and other platform capabilities.
Configure and extend ServiceNow applications, including but not limited to ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, HRSD, CSM, SPM, IRM, and custom applications based on client requirements.
Develop and maintain REST and SOAP integrations with internal and third-party enterprise systems.
Design and optimize Service Catalog offerings, workflows, record producers, and self-service experiences using Employee Center, Service Portal, and UI Builder.
Build and support Workspace experiences, Next Experience components, and mobile capabilities.
Design and maintain data models, CMDB structures, and Common Service Data Model (CSDM) relationships where applicable.
Implement platform security using ACLs, application scoping, roles, and security best practices.
Collaborate with solution architects and technical leads to develop scalable, maintainable, and upgrade-friendly platform solutions.
Translate business requirements into technical designs and implementation plans using Agile methodologies.
Perform code reviews, troubleshoot complex platform issues, optimize performance, and support testing and deployment activities.
Utilize source control, update set management, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps best practices to support application lifecycle management.
Lead technical discussions, client workshops, and design sessions while providing guidance on ServiceNow platform capabilities and best practices.
Produce clear technical documentation, development standards, and implementation artifacts.
Mentor junior developers and contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and coding standards.
Qualifications
3+ years of professional software development or platform engineering experience, including 2+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience.
Experience designing, developing, and implementing enterprise solutions on the ServiceNow platform.
Strong understanding of ServiceNow architecture, platform capabilities, and application development best practices.
Experience working within Agile delivery methodologies.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and consulting skills.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
Bachelor’s degree
Desired Skills
Strong JavaScript development skills and proficiency with ServiceNow scripting APIs and development frameworks.
Experience with Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, App Engine Studio, Service Portal, UI Builder, and Workspace development.
Experience building and supporting REST/SOAP integrations and API-based solutions.
Knowledge of platform security, application scoping, ACLs, and governance best practices.
Experience with CMDB, CSDM, Discovery, or Service Mapping is preferred.
Familiarity with source control, Git, update sets, CI/CD, and DevOps practices.
Understanding of ITIL concepts and enterprise service management processes.
Experience developing across multiple ServiceNow product areas is highly desirable.
Ability to lead technical solution design while mentoring other developers.
