Credence has an immediate need for a ServiceNow developer to support the large-scale modernization effort for a mission-critical Department of Defense (DoD) system with massive national impact. This position supports technical solution and development / implementation of solutions that leverage the OOTB ServiceNow modules and Custom App to migrate legacy applications to the DLA Enterprise ServiceNow platform. Successful candidates also have experience working with Next Experience, Workspaces and Service Portal UI.

Hands-on experience with ServiceNow components, such as Predictive Intelligence, Change Management, Service Catalog, Incident Management, Problem Management, Release Management, CMDB, CSM, Knowledge Management, Self-Service Portal, etc.

Responsibilities:

  • Experience performing ServiceNow analysis, architecture, and application development or similar responsibility.
  • Providing insight and expertise into the ServiceNow platform capabilities and roadmap.
  • Proficient with business rules, client script, UI policies, UI actions, script includes, flow designer, notifications.
  • Understanding the business context and how to translate business and functional requirements into a sustainable ServiceNow implementation.
  • Formulate and define specifications for complex software applications and maintain/modify existing systems using manufacturer utilities and engineering releases.
  • Design software, hardware, and communication architectures to meet enterprise and cross-functional requirements, ensuring compliance with DoD open systems standards.
  • Provide presentation to senior stakeholders on the solution approaches and roadmaps.
  • Managing the ServiceNow solution design, development, testing, and go-live support.
  • Working with project resources to define sustainment governance and processes as part of operational transition.
  • Working with technical subject matter experts (SMEs) to identify and refine data requirements.
  • Provide guidance to convert requirements into design and migration steps.
  • Working with customer SME’s and senior leadership to ensure systems requirements are met.
  • Eliminates obstacles, gets results that have a clear, positive, and direct impact on business performance. Drives the organization to achieve results.
  • Good problem solver and out of the box thinker.
  • Prior experience participating in the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including analysis, design, coding, testing, and promotion into production.
  • Proficient in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, XML

Requirements
  • Must be a US citizen with the ability to obtain a successful DOD Secret clearance is required for consideration.
  • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer and ServiceNow Certified System Administrator certifications required.
  • Bachelors of Science in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business or related discipline is required or five (5) yrs work experience in similar field.
  • Experience developing ServiceNow applications using the Next Experience, Workspaces and/ or Service Portal UIs.
  • Strong understanding of ServiceNow's architecture, data model, and core concepts.
  • Experience with application programming interfaces (APIs) in a ServiceNow platform in order to support Low-Code/No-Code Development.
  • Knowledge of configuring ServiceNow to receive requests from the API Gateway, including the correct HTTP methods (GET, POST, PUT, DELETE) and response handling.
  • Experience in agile and hybrid low-code application development using ServiceNow Agile 2.0 for user story task management.
