The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
As a ServiceNow Developer, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse professionals around the world. In this role, you will make an impact by:
Key Responsibilities:
- Design & Build (CSM first): Configure and customize CSM (Cases, Accounts/Contacts, Entitlements/SLAs, Agent Workspace, Knowledge, Digital Workflows/Flow Designer, Playbooks) with a focus on usability, performance, and scalability.
- ITSM & Platform: Develop and optimize Incident, Problem, Change, Request, and Knowledge workflows; create Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, UI Policies, UI Actions, Catalog Items, and Flow Designer flows.
- CMDB & Discovery: Model services and configuration items, improve data quality, reconcile sources, and support Discovery/Service Mapping where applicable.
- Integrations: Build and maintain REST integrations (and IntegrationHub spokes) with internal and third-party systems; handle authentication, error handling, and retries.
- Quality & Lifecycle: Implement secure coding standards, peer reviews, ATF/unit tests, update set management, and instance promotion; support platform upgrades.
- Operations & Support: Troubleshoot production issues, monitor performance, and remediate defects; create runbooks/playbooks and knowledge articles for support teams.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Translate business requirements into technical designs; present solution options and trade-offs clearly to non-technical stakeholders; work effectively across time zones.
- Governance & Security: Apply ACLs/roles, data policies, and best practices to protect customer and enterprise data; contribute to audit/readiness activities as required. (Experience in regulated environments—e.g., FedRAMP/GCC—is a plus.)
Required Skills:
- 3+ years as a hands‑on ServiceNow developer delivering production solutions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)
- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD)
Core Skills:
- Proven expertise in CSM implementations and enhancements.
- Working knowledge of ITSM processes and configuration.
- CMDB design and data quality practices.
- Strong proficiency with JavaScript/GlideScript, Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, UI Policies, Flow Designer; familiarity with Scoped Apps and Update Sets.
- Integration experience (REST/SOAP, web services, MID Server); JSON/XML; error handling and logging.
- Communication: Excellent verbal/written communication, able to collaborate with a global team and present solutions to technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Problem Solving: Demonstrated ability to analyze complex issues, propose clear options, and deliver pragmatic, resilient solutions.
Nice to Have (Preferred Qualifications)
- ServiceNow product certifications in CSM, ITSM, or Discovery/Service Mapping.
- Experience with ATF, automated testing strategies, and CI/CD for ServiceNow.
- Familiarity with IntegrationHub, Virtual Agent, Agent Chat, and portal (Service Portal / Next Experience UI).
- Experience supporting compliance‑sensitive environments or public sector controls (e.g., FedRAMP/GCC).
- Exposure to data privacy and customer data handling practices supporting customer‑facing portals (accounts/contacts, self‑registration, preferences).
