Position Summary

Credence has an immediate need for a ServiceNow Developer to design, develop, configure, and maintain ServiceNow solutions that support business and IT operations. This role partners with stakeholders, system administrators, and cross-functional teams to deliver scalable applications, workflows, and integrations while supporting platform modernization and process automation. The ideal candidate will have experience with ServiceNow development, Agile methodologies, and IT service management (ITSM) best practices.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the duties listed below:

  • Stay current with emerging technologies, ServiceNow platform capabilities, and industry best practices to support automation and modernization initiatives.
  • Design, develop, customize, and deploy ServiceNow applications, modules, workflows, forms, and user interfaces to support business and operational requirements.
  • Collaborate with ServiceNow administrators and technical teams to implement enhancements, resolve issues, and support platform configuration changes.
  • Partner with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document functional and technical requirements.
  • Identify system deficiencies, process inefficiencies, and technical challenges, and recommend effective solutions.
  • Develop and maintain solutions that align with ServiceNow design patterns, development standards, and best practices to ensure scalability, reliability, and reusability.
  • Ensure development, testing, staging, sandbox, and production environments are properly configured, maintained, and consistent.
  • Support the establishment of reliable and repeatable development, deployment, and release management processes.
  • Provide ongoing production support, troubleshooting, and end-user assistance for ServiceNow applications and integrations.
  • Work closely with Scrum Masters, business stakeholders, and IT teams to support platform enhancements, implementations, and operational needs.
  • Design and develop integrations between ServiceNow and other enterprise platforms and applications.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver software solutions that meet project objectives and client expectations.
  • Conduct code reviews and provide technical guidance and mentorship to other developers as needed.
  • Apply UI/UX requirements and best practices to enhance the user experience and usability of ServiceNow applications.
  • Utilize version control, continuous integration, and continuous delivery (CI/CD) practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Create, maintain, and update technical documentation, system configurations, and development artifacts in accordance with organizational standards.
  • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.

Requirements
  • US citizenship with Active Secret Clearance required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in software development, including ServiceNow platform development.
  • Experience designing and developing custom scoped applications within the ServiceNow platform.
  • Hands-on experience with ServiceNow Application Engine, Flow Designer, and workflow automation.
  • Experience configuring, customizing, and extending ServiceNow Case Management and related platform modules.
  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification required; Certified Application Developer (CAD) certification preferred.
  • Experience developing post-MVP enhancements, including system configuration, development, testing, deployment, and technical documentation.
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, AngularJS, and other web technologies used within the ServiceNow platform.
  • Experience with one or more programming languages such as Java, Python, C++, or similar.
  • Knowledge of REST/SOAP APIs, integrations, and web services.
  • Understanding of Agile Scrum methodologies and the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Experience applying software design principles, architectural patterns, and development best practices to create scalable and maintainable solutions.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Salary Range: $141,000 - $185,000 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on the selected candidate's experience, education, certifications, skills, and overall qualifications.

Skills Required
