The Role:

As a ServiceNow Developer, you'll play a key role in enhancing and evolving AP+'s ServiceNow platform to deliver secure, reliable and user-centric IT services. Working closely with technology and business stakeholders, you'll design, configure and maintain ServiceNow capabilities that improve service delivery, automate workflows and enable operational excellence. You'll translate business requirements into scalable platform solutions, support controlled releases, and continuously optimise the platform to ensure it remains stable, accessible and aligned to the needs of a modern payments organisation.

Key outcomes the role will own

  • Design, develop and maintain ServiceNow applications, workflows, integrations and platform capabilities that deliver reliable, high-performing IT services.
  • Configure and optimise the ServiceNow platform to improve availability, stability, performance and user experience.
  • Deliver platform enhancements and software releases through robust change, release and deployment practices that minimise operational risk.
  • Partner with stakeholders to gather, analyse and prioritise requirements, translating business needs into scalable ServiceNow solutions.
  • Support service acceptance activities by ensuring solutions meet quality, security, governance and operational readiness standards before deployment.
  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to automate processes, simplify service delivery and enhance the end-user experience.
  • Monitor platform health, investigate issues and implement sustainable solutions that improve operational resilience and service performance.
  • Champion best practice across ServiceNow development, user experience, accessibility, security and platform governance while contributing to the ongoing maturity of AP+'s technology capability.

Required experience to be successful in the role

We're looking for a ServiceNow professional who enjoys solving complex technical problems and delivering solutions that create meaningful business value.

You'll bring:

  • Demonstrated experience developing, configuring and supporting ServiceNow Platform capabilities (E.g. ITSM, ITOM, CSM, IRM, SIR, CSDM, EC, Source to Pay) including Playbooks, workflows, forms, catalogue items, design UX, integrations (including API and eBonding) and platform administration.
  • Strong understanding of IT Service Management (ITSM) processes and experience working within structured service delivery environments.
  • Proven experience delivering software releases, change management and deployment activities using controlled governance and operational practices.
  • Experience translating business and user requirements into practical, scalable technical solutions with a strong focus on usability and customer experience.
  • Knowledge of ServiceNow platform configuration, system performance optimisation, integrations and troubleshooting.
  • Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional technology teams to deliver high-quality outcomes across the software delivery lifecycle.
  • An understanding of user experience, accessibility, security and service acceptance principles, ensuring solutions are fit for purpose and operationally ready.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Software Engineering or a related discipline, with ServiceNow Administrator/Developer and ITIL Foundation certifications highly regarded.
  • ServiceNow AI experience highly regarded
