Job Description

Priority:

  • 3-5 year certified ServiceNow application Development and administration experience across atleast 2 modules (ITSM/HR/ITOM/Custom Apps). Catalogs, business rules, scripting, workflow/flow designer, ACLs, integrations, etc.
  • Excellent Communication skills - written and verbal, understand business requirements, know SNOW best practices
  • Experience with Integrations between ServiceNow and various third-party systems OR knowledge and experience using REST API to build integrations

Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Senior ServiceNow Developer and Administrator to join our ServiceNow platform team at Nielsen. In this role, you will work closely with business and IT stakeholders to understand requirements and design, configure, develop, implement, maintain and optimize Nielsen's ServiceNow platform and related modules. If you have solid ServiceNow development and administration experience in the ITSM, HR, ITOM, Custom App modules, scripting skills, and a passion for implementing best practices, we want to hear from you!

 

Qualifications

Responsibilities:

  • Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Infrastructure, security, business, vendors, and other stakeholders to identify opportunities for process improvement and innovation, gather business requirements and translate them into technical designs and process workflows in ServiceNow
  • Implementation: Design, build and deploy ServiceNow solutions, including custom applications, workflows, forms, scripts, features, and enhancements using ServiceNow development and industry  best practices
  • Integration: Integrate ServiceNow with other systems and applications to streamline data exchange and improve operational efficiency
  • Reporting: Create and optimize reports, dashboards, KPIs to track volumes, trends, SLAs and other metrics
  • Agile Release Management: Managing team work using Agile methodology with  backlog management, sprint planning, scrum calls/daily sync, etc.,  
  • Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including technical specifications, configuration guides, standard operating procedures and runbooks
  • Support: The role involves providing comprehensive platform support by troubleshooting, triaging, and resolving incidents, problems, requests, and events across all ServiceNow modules and custom applications. Additionally, you will handle system administration tasks, including managing user access and data integrity, while driving platform maintenance by planning, executing, and testing ServiceNow upgrades in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Training and Mentoring: Provide training and guidance to junior team members on ServiceNow development best practices
  • Continuously identify opportunities for process and system optimization, implement automation where possible

Additional Information

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field
  • 3-5 years of hands-on ServiceNow development and administration experience
  • Certified System Administrator and Certified Application Developer certifications
  • Excellent knowledge of ServiceNow modules - HR, ITOM, ITSM, Custom App, etc.
  • Experience with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, AngularJS, REST API, JSON
  • Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and ability to interact with global teams
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in a team environment, as well as independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and business needs in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Fluency in reading and speaking English
