Tarkett has a great opportunity for a Serger (Hospitality)Full Time 1st Shift 7AM-5PM.Your skills we value:
- Will be responsible for operating sewing machine that loops yarn into fringe and stitches fringe to edge of rug.
- Will be performing basic adjustments as needed such as changing thread, needles, and repairing thread break on the sewing machine.
- Will be responsible for color matching serging yarns to rugs.
- Demonstrate a sense of urgency in performing duties.
- Work alongside the rug lead person if the sewing machine breaks down to identify and fix the problem.
- Must have good communication and interpersonal skills and must be able to work in a close team environment, not only with his/her department but also with any other department.
- Comply with all safety policies, practices, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). Report unsafe activities to supervisor and/or manager.
- Promptly report all safety malfunctions on equipment.
- Must maintain work area always organized.
- This position will require flexible working hours, including overtime, and help cover shifts during vacation and call-offs.
- This position will require repetitive motions, pulling, bending & lifting rugs on an air table.
- Must be able to lift objects to 50lbs.
- Any other duties assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Prior rug serging/binding experience preferred.
