About the role
The SEO/SEM lead role will play a critical role in developing and executing strategies that will help enhance GoTyme Bank’s online visibility and the effectiveness of the bank’s website. This role focuses on optimizing the web pages to maximize search discoverability, improve user experience, and support paid media efforts. The SEO/SEM lead ensures that search engines and users can easily find and engage with the bank’s resources, ultimately reinforcing brand presence, credibility, and campaign performance.
SEO & App Store Optimization (ASO)
- Develop and implement a comprehensive SEO & ASO roadmap to improve organic search rankings for web and app.
- Optimize website and app store listings (titles, descriptions, metadata) to enhance discoverability.
- Conduct keyword research, competitive analysis, and link-building strategies for both web and app platforms.
- Ensure SEO & ASO best practices are integrated across all digital assets, including structured data implementation.
SEM & Paid Search Optimization
- Manage Google Ads, Apple Search Ads, and other paid search campaigns to maximize visibility and ROI.
- Work closely with internal and external teams to create and optimize landing pages and app store pages for conversions and quality scores.
- Conduct A/B testing on ad creatives, CTAs, and page layouts to improve campaign effectiveness.
- Ensure a fast-loading, seamless experience to reduce bounce rates from paid traffic.
Brand Discovery & Audience Reach
- Optimize brand-related content to improve visibility in branded search queries across web and app ecosystems.
- Collaborate with internal marketing teams to develop content strategies aligned with user intent, driving organic and paid discovery.
- Monitor industry trends and leverage search behaviour insights to create high-impact, searchable content for web and app platforms.
Technical SEO & Performance Optimization
- Collaborate with developers to maintain site and app health, fix crawl/indexing issues, and improve Core Web Vitals.
- Ensure mobile-friendliness, fast loading speeds, and proper indexing of key pages and app content.
- Implement structured data and schema markup to enhance search engine understanding and eligibility for rich snippets.
Analytics & Performance Tracking
- Track and analyze key SEO, ASO, and SEM performance metrics (e.g., impressions, CTR, engagement, installs, retention).
- Provide data-driven insights to refine strategies for organic and paid search performance.
- Continuously test and refine SEO, ASO, and SEM strategies to enhance search visibility and campaign ROI.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work with marketing and tech teams to implement SEO/ASO-friendly updates for web and app platforms.
- Partner with UX/UI teams to enhance user experience and conversion rates across search-driven touchpoints.
- Align SEO, SEM, and ASO efforts with brand, social media, and CRM teams to maximize search impact.
Must haves
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
- Certification in the following is preferred: Google Ads, Google Analytics (GA4), HubSpot Content Marketing, and SEMrush or Ahrefs SEO. SEMrush or Ahrefs SEO
- 3+ years experience in SEO, SEM, and digital marketing with a proven track record of driving organic traffic and paid search performance.
- Experience in App Store Optimization (ASO) for Google Play and Apple App Store.
- Hands-on experience with Google Ads, Apple Search Ads, and paid search campaigns.
- Strong background in technical SEO, site architecture, and web performance optimization.
- Experience collaborating with developers, UX designers, and marketing teams to implement SEO strategies.
- Strong analytical experience using Google Analytics, Search Console, Google Tag Manager, and SEO tools (Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, etc.).
Core Competencies
- SEO, SEM & ASO Expertise – Strong knowledge of on-page, off-page, technical SEO, paid search strategies, and app store optimization (ASO) to improve visibility and conversions.
- Technical & Analytical Skills – Proficiency in Google Analytics, Search Console, SEO tools (Ahrefs, SEMrush), and A/B testing, with the ability to analyze data and optimize performance.
- Content & Digital Marketing Acumen – Ability to align content strategy with search intent, drive organic growth, and enhance brand discoverability through high-impact content.
- Performance Optimization & Problem-Solving – Experience in improving site speed, mobile-friendliness, structured data, and troubleshooting SEO/SEM issues to enhance search performance.
- Collaboration & Communication – Strong ability to work cross-functionally with marketing, UX, and development teams, manage external vendors, and effectively communicate SEO/SEM strategies.
