About the role:

AvePoint, a global leader in SaaS and data management solutions, is seeking a strategic and hands-on SEO and GEO Manager for our Manila office. This role will guide SEO efforts spanning technical, onpage, online, and semantic optimization, driving strong organic growth in an era transformed by generative AI (GEO). The successful candidate will leverage data-driven insights, cross-functional partnerships, and team leadership to maximize search visibility, optimize content, and convert targeted traffic throughout the customer journey

Key responsibilities:

  • Strategy & Leadership: Lead the development and execution of integrated SEO and GEO strategies, while managing and mentoring a high-performing team.
  • GEO Innovation: Monitor and adapt to generative AI trends to optimize visibility in AI-powered search and conversational experiences.
  • Technical SEO: Oversee site architecture, crawlability, speed, mobile optimization, and structured data to ensure technical excellence.
  • Onpage Optimization: Enhance content structure, metadata, internal linking, and UX to improve rankings and engagement.
  • Semantic & Entity SEO: Leverage NLP, entity optimization, and topical authority to align with evolving AI search algorithms.
  • Content Collaboration: Partner with content teams to create and optimize high-impact, search-intent-driven content across the funnel.
  • Keyword & Market Intelligence: Conduct keyword research and competitive analysis to inform strategy and capture emerging search behaviors.
  • Offpage & Local SEO: Build a strong backlink profile, manage online reputation, and implement local SEO best practices.
  • Customer Journey Optimization: Align SEO and GEO efforts with each stage of the customer journey to drive traffic, engagement, and conversions.
  • Cross-Channel Integration: Collaborate with paid media and marketing teams to unify organic and paid strategies for maximum impact.
  • Analytics & Reporting: Define KPIs, track performance, and deliver actionable insights to stakeholders.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay ahead of SEO/GEO trends and tools, continuously testing and refining strategies.
  • Team Development: Coach and develop team members, fostering a culture of growth, innovation, and accountability.
  • Resource Planning: Assess team needs and partner with HR to recruit and retain top SEO and GEO talent. 

The ideal candidate has:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 8+ years of hands-on SEO management experience, ideally in SaaS, B2B tech, or high-growth digital environments.
  • Proven experience in leading and managing SEO teams, including mentoring, performance management, and fostering a collaborative, high-performing work environment.
  • Demonstrated expertise in technical, onpage, online, and semantic SEO, with proven results in organic growth.
  • Proficiency in SEO tools (SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, Google Search Console, Google Analytics, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of generative AI’s impact on search (GEO) and agility in adapting to search innovation.
  • Exceptional analytical and strategic thinking skills, with deep experience in keyword research and market analysis.
  • Proven ability to collaborate across content, marketing, and paid media teams within global organizations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and results-oriented.
