Position Summary
The SEO Manager works closely with the SEO Director to execute day-to-day tasks as outlined in the SEO strategy provided to our clients. This role requires experience with technical SEO, a strong understanding of on-and-off page ranking factors, and familiarity with keyword research and backlink analysis tools.
Functions and Responsibilities:
- Drive SEO channel strategy and deliver positive changes in client rankings/organic traffic
- Manage multiple client SEO campaigns simultaneously (often across different industry verticals)
- Compile and deliver SEO insights for client reporting and be able to ‘tell a story’ of a client’s performance and SEO campaign through SEO insights
- Participate on SEO client calls as the SME
- Drive overall channel strategy based on keyword, search trend and SERP opportunities
- Performing technical analysis of client websites
- Conduct full SEO website audits
- Create SEO client deliverables (reporting, keyword insights, technical insights, content recommendations)
- Perform keyword research, content gap analysis and competitor analysis
- Provide SEO optimized content recommendations
- Create content assets using generative AI tools and manual human editing
- Leverage new technologies and SERP enhancements into client campaigns
- Assist on internal SEO & Marketing initiatives
Skills + Traits + Abilities:
- Excitement to work with an entrepreneurial digital agency. Agency experience preferred.
- Bachelors or advanced degree preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in Digital Marketing with a background in SEO.
- Strong understanding of SEO guidelines and marketing best practices.
- Strong knowledge and experience with keyword research and backlink analysis tools.
- Knowledge and experience with Google products, particularly Google Analytics and Search Console. Google Analytics Certification preferred but not required.
- Web crawler knowledge and experience required.
- Ability to derive SEO strategy based on keyword research findings or competitor analysis.
- Strategic and creative thinking always focusing on innovative, but measurable client solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Experience with AI tools or knowledge of AI in search a plus (ChatGPT, Gemini, Search Generative Experience)
