About the role:
As a SEO Intern for Sparks English, you will play a key role in increasing our website's visibility in search results. You will be mentored by experience Digital Marketing professionals and have an opportunity to build portfolio projects and gain hands-on experience.
Job Description:
- Keyword Research & Content Planning
- Conduct keyword research using tools such as Ahrefs, Google Keyword Planner, etc.
- Assist in developing content plans and updating existing content based on search intent. - Content Publishing & Optimization
- Upload and format content on WordPress based on SEO best practices (H1–H3 tags, meta tags, internal linking, etc.).
- Optimize on-page elements such as meta titles, descriptions, alt text, and URLs. - Performance Monitoring
- Track keyword rankings and content performance using Ahrefs, Google Search Console, and Google Analytics.
- Provide regular reports and insights on SEO progress and recommendations for improvement.
- Conduct periodic competitor benchmarking and SERP feature monitoring to find content gaps and opportunities. - Technical SEO Support
- Assist in identifying and documenting technical issues (broken links, crawl errors, page speed issues, etc.)
- Support implementation of SEO fixes in collaboration with the dev team if necessary. - Documentation & Task Management
- Keep SEO spreadsheets, content dashboard, and documentation organized and updated.
Requirements:
- Familiarity with WordPress CMS (posting, formatting, basic SEO settings).
- Experience using Ahrefs or similar SEO tools (SEMrush, Ubersuggest, etc.).
- Basic understanding of how Google Search works and the fundamentals of SEO.
- Comfortable working with spreadsheets (Google Sheets/Docs).
- Basic knowledge of Google Search Console and Google Analytics.
- Understanding of SEO content structure and user intent.
- Interest in learning technical SEO concepts (e.g. site speed, indexing, robots.txt).
- Ability to write or edit SEO-friendly content is a plus.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions and guidelines.
- Enthusiasm to learn, experiment, and grow within a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and collaboration skills.
