What are we looking for?
BetterHelp is looking for an SEO intern to join our growing team this summer. The ideal candidate is someone who is smart, ambitious and numbers-driven. This role is all about growth, optimization, tracking, and reporting; which will be achieved by leveraging data to make actionable decisions.
What will you do?
- Optimize meta-data and on page content based on priority keyword focus.
- Contribute to broader marketing efforts seeking to leverage content for client engagement and acquisition.
- Assist with monthly reporting and data analysis.
- Monitor impact and effectiveness of optimization implementations.
- Assist in improving site architecture, monitoring competitive landscape, site content, and other day-to-day tasks.
What will you NOT do?
- You will NOT worry about "runway", "cash left", or "how much time we have until the next round". We have the startup DNA but we're fully backed and funded, all the way to success.
- You will NOT be confined to your "job". You will get involved in product, marketing, business strategy, and almost everything we do.
- You will NOT be bogged down by office politics, ego, or bad attitude. Only positive, pleasure-to-work-with people are allowed here!
- You will NOT get yourself burned out. We work hard but we believe in maintaining a sustainable work/life balance. Really.
Can I work remotely?
Yes. We operate on PST and candidates in any time zone are welcome to apply
Requirements
- Exceptional communication skills, including a meticulous eye for grammar
- Superb time management and organizational skills
- Intuition for improving the user experience
- Passion for marketing and search engine optimization (SEO)
- Ability to work inter-departmentally with PR, design, product, and engineering
- Curiosity to proactively seek, identify and evaluate new innovative opportunities for campaign growth and improvement
- Tech savvy and quick to learn new software

The base hourly rate for this position is $20 - $25.
