Role Purpose
Own day-to-day execution and implementation of SEO and GEO across global pre‑sales and post‑sales digital assets, ensuring Cigna content is discoverable, cited, and accurately represented in both traditional search engines and AI‑driven generative platforms.
Core Skillset & Capabilities
- Traditional SEO (Strong Hands-on Foundation)
- Deep expertise in on-page SEO: titles, meta descriptions, headers, internal linking, URL structures
- Technical SEO execution: crawlability, indexing, Core Web Vitals, XML sitemaps, canonicals
- Hands-on experience working directly with developers and CMS platforms (implementation, not advisory-only)
- SEO performance tracking using GA4, BrightEdge, and similar enterprise tooling.
Advanced SEO, GEO & Search Strategy
- Proven experience designing multi‑market SEO strategies that go beyond content execution into platform, architecture, and entity‑based discovery models
- Strong grasp of semantic SEO, entity authority, and knowledge graph principles across both web and app ecosystems
- Ability to translate business and CX objectives into measurable organic, AI‑led discovery, and conversion outcomes
- Experience assessing brand representation, comparison, and citation in generative AI experiences (e.g., LLM‑driven summaries and recommendations)
- Demonstrated success delivering conversion rate optimization (CRO) initiatives tied to organic and discovery traffic
Generative AI & GEO Leadership
- Strong conceptual and practical understanding of LLMs, AI search experiences, and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO)
- Experience defining content structures, metadata standards, schema, and technical signals optimized for AI‑driven platforms
Ways of Working
- Works closely with CX Digital & Web, development teams, and analytics partners
- Supports multiple global markets while balancing global standards with local execution
- Acts as an internal execution partner for markets, reducing reliance on agencies
