Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Subcontract Payload Re-Entry System Product Manager 3 . This position will be located in Roy, Utah and will support the Sentinel program.
The Product Lead’s primary responsibilities are to manage the Payload Re-Entry System’s subcontract including the management of cost, schedule, and technical performance. This subcontract involves the design, manufacture, and testing of the Payload Re-Entry Subsystem.
What you will get to do:
• Enforcement of subcontractor execution of a Statement of Work (SOW) and support of contract modifications as necessary
• Risk and Opportunity development and management to include seeking management reserve funding to effectively mitigate program risk
• Resolution of technical and operational problems. Typically accomplishes results through lower level(s) of technical advisement, subject matter experts (SMEs), or focused oversight of the subcontractor
• Evaluation of supplier performance including the development and execution of incentive and award fee plans
• Measuring and reporting program performance through development and adherence to budget baselines utilizing EVMS principles
• Leadership of identification, allocation, tracking, and completion of program requirements. Management of cost, schedule and technical performance of complex projects and dynamic priorities across multiple baselines and operational locations
• Ensuring the team understands and adheres to customer expectations, contract scope, and manages change through control board activities
• Delivering presentations to customers, executive management, and other program stakeholders
• Supporting the preparation and approval of proposals, ROMs, ECPs, specifications, and operating budgets

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and 8 years of experience, or Master’s Degree and 6 years of experience
- Active US Government Secret clearance investigated within the last 6 years and ability to obtain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance
- 2 years of experience with Earned Value Management System (EVMS) principles and application as a Cost Account Manager (CAM)
- 2 years of experience working with a subcontractor in a technical advisory role
- 2 years of experience managing a multi-disciplinary team
- Experience with mechanical design and analysis of metallic structures, avionics engineering, and the design of ordnance systems
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
- Current Top Secret, SCI, and/or Special Access clearance
- Master of Business Administration (MBA)
- Knowledge of configuration management best practices, scheduling, and cost estimation
- Experience performing technical evaluation of supplier proposals
- Subcontract negotiation and definitization
- Experience overseeing subcontracts for performance and accountability

- Experience on Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) or other missile programs
- Experience leading hardware procurement/supply chain operations
