Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Staff (level 5) Systems Engineer to join the Sentinel Systems Engineering team located in Roy, UT. Northrop Grumman supports the Air Force’s sustainment, development, production and deployment of hardware and system modifications for Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Ground and Airborne Launch Control Systems, Launch Facilities, and associated infrastructure.
What you will get to do:
- Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for Support Equipment
- Work with Design, Integrated Logistics Support, Specialty Engineering, and project management in development of Support Equipment for mission operational system on the Sentinel program to apply concepts and practices to Support Equipment.
- Analysis and perform Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) for Support Equipment Architecture development.
- Perform analyses at all levels of product lifecycle to include concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal.
- Develops Systems Engineering Technical Review entry/exit criteria and coordinates with systems engineering, design, and test teams to ensure the technical adequacy of artifacts
- Provides consulting support to Chief Engineer on Support & Training requirements, architecture, and designs integrate with technical needs of the Sentinel program milestones.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) with 12 years of experience; or master’s degree with 10 years of experience; or PhD with 8 years of experience
- Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance, at time of application, current and within scope, with an investigation date within the last 6 years.
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret Clearance and Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period, as determined by the company to meet its business needs.
- 3 years of experience utilizing tools such as IBM DOORS© and No Magic© CAMEO.
- 3 years of experience developing system requirements, architectures, and implementation in MBSE processes and environment.
- 3 years of experience linking requirements to design elements, traceability matrices, and change impact analysis.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in System Engineering (SE) process, including SE experience across multiple levels of integration
- Experience with the following tools: CAMEO, DOORS, Confluence, and JIRA
- Experience developing/maintaining Peculiar (PSE) and Common (CSE) Support Equipment
- Experience leading technical teams in large scale aerospace/defense projects
- 3 years of experience in Systems architecture development

This position’s standard work schedule is 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Primary Level Salary Range: $152,900.00 - $229,300.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
