Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking Sr Principal Software Engineer. This position will be located in Roy, Utah and will support the Sentinel program.
What You'll Get To Do:
The selected individual will provide SW development for the Digital Ecosystem EMAS organization and do the following:
Design and define system architecture for new or existing software products
Develop software in an agile development environment
Design automated test procedures for software verification activities
Collaborate with the lead software engineer and a team of software engineers to establish and develop automated tools
Develop Software Test Plans and Procedures for team software products
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Sr Principal Software Engineer: 8 Years with Bachelors in Science; 6 Years with Masters or 4 additional years of experience in lieu of degree
US Citizenship with Active DoD Secret clearance with a reinvestigation date occurring in the last 6 years.
Ability to obtain Special Program Access (SAP).
Experience with Agile and working in a cross-function Scrum team.
Experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite including Jira and Confluence
Experience developing React applications and Jest testing framework
Experience with Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
Familiar with Software Development Plans
Familiar with Software Engineering best practices
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree or higher in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM)
At least 3+ years experience leading a project and/or driving performance against schedule with proven results
Proficient with DOORS, Cameo with the ability to develop and decompose system requirements
Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) languages (SysML/UML) and concepts, Node.js
Ability to evaluate risks and tradeoffs and present solution options to management
Experience interpreting complex algorithms and requirements for implementation
Familiar with Systems Engineering processes
Ability to provide and implement solutions to advanced problems which require ingenuity and innovation
Experience demonstrating excellent technical leadership, interpersonal, and oral and written communication skills, effectively engaging with various stakeholders
Capable of working with minimal direction, independently determines and develops technical objectives of assignments, and presents work upon completion for high level review

Primary Level Salary Range: $122,800.00 - $184,200.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
