You will act as the CO-M100 (Corporate Manufacturing Management System) driving force, in accordance with CHB M110, shaping how we will manufacture and deploy product from early concept through rate production.

During Engineering and Manufacturing Development (EMD), you will lead the design and implementation of the integrated manufacturing system for Sentinel and drive execution to that system to validate processes, tooling, data flows, and factory or field operations. Your objective is to ensure that, by the end of EMD, the manufacturing system is mature, proven, and ready to transition into production .

You will provide leadership to a cross functional team that may include Manufacturing Engineers (MEs), Industrial Engineers (IEs), Operations Project Managers (OPMs), Tooling, and, when appropriate, Field Support. You will own manufacturing planning, readiness, risk identification, and Design for Manufacturing & Assembly (DFMA) activities aligned with the Corporate Manufacturing Management System and SAE AS6500, ensuring Sentinel meets its quality, schedule, and cost commitments.

Position responsibilities include:

  • Serve as the Production Operations lead at the IPT level within Sentinel’s Launch Systems’ Launch Infrastructure OU for assigned work scope.

  • Lead the design, implementation, and maturation of the integrated manufacturing system for Sentinel during EMD:

    • Integrate DFMA across Systems Engineering, Design Engineering, Global Supply Chain, suppliers, and operations.

    • Incorporate lessons learned and best practices from prior programs to improve cost, schedule, and quality.

  • As CAM, develop and manage budgets, resource planning, schedules, and performance standards for assigned production operations scope.

  • Apply systems thinking to Sentinel manufacturing:

    • Analyze interconnections, dependencies, and emergent behaviors in Sentinel manufacturing systems and processes.

    • Develop system level manufacturing solutions rather than isolated process or part level fixes.

  • Provide leadership to cross functional teams (MEs, IEs, OPMs, Tooling, Quality, Field Support, GSC, etc.) to design, develop, and implement complex manufacturing systems for Sentinel:

    • Integrate processes, equipment, digital manufacturing technologies, and factory information systems.

    • Lead the transition from proposal and EMD prototypes into stable, scalable production operations.

  • Conduct root cause analysis of Sentinel manufacturing system issues and drive corrective and preventive actions based on data.

  • Support continuous improvement in Sentinel production:

  • Identify and implement technology and process changes to improve cost, span time, and quality.
