Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Systems Engineer / Principal Systems Engineer. This position is located in Roy, UT and supports the Sentinel program.
What You’ll Get To Do:
- Perform technical planning, support design reviews, and support the development of a tool to communicate and track action items internally and with our customers.
- Collaborate with program IPT counterparts to develop supporting systems engineering and design artifacts.
- Work with both technical teams and stakeholders to develop and mature content both internally and externally.
- Conduct pre-review assessments to ensure readiness prior to formal design review.
- Demonstrate technical skills, organization, be an effective communicator, and problem solver who is able to develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrate a commitment to ethics and integrity, and the capability to innovate.
- Operate in a team environment and collaborate across the program as required to accomplish tasking.
Basic Qualifications
This requisition may be filled at either the Systems Engineer level (T-02) or Principal Systems Engineer level (T-03).
- Systems Engineer: Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 2 years of experience, 0 years of experience with a Master's Degree.
- Principal Systems Engineer: Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 5 years of experience, or 3 years of experience with a Master's degree.
- Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance, at time of application, current and within scope, with an investigation date within the last 6 years.
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A general understanding of Engineering Board Processes
- Experience leading projects/assignments
- Experience with Atlassian tools (Jira and Confluence) or similar
- Experience working with Cameo or similar tools
- Experience working with DOORS or similar tools
- Experience with MBSE (Model-Based Systems Engineering)

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Primary Level Salary Range: $79,300.00 - $118,900.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $98,400.00 - $147,600.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
