Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Software Quality Manager 1.  This position will be located in Roy, UT, Colorado Spring, CO or Huntsville, AL and will support the Sentinel (GBSD) program.  This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.

 What You’ll Get To Do: 

  • Lead Software Quality and Mission Assurance functions within SDS/Sentinel to ensure mission success
  • Perform technical reviews as required including CDRLs, test plans, test procedures, etc.
  • Support Segment review boards and review of associated packages including Technical Review Board, Change Control Board, Risk & Opportunity Management Board
  • Ensure execution of Sentinel SQA & MA tasks in compliance with Program, Division, Sector, and Company processes.
  • Support allocation of personnel to the program to ensure sufficient mission assurance coverage.
  • Support preparation and execution of Root Cause & Corrective Actions (RCCA). Develop and maintain Quality scorecard Metrics.
  • Support preparation of the Program Review packages.

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package. 

You’ll Bring These Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree and 5 years of related experience; Master's degree and 3 years of experience or an additional 4 years of related experience in lieu of degree
  • Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance with an ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP)
  • Experience with Mission Assurance and Software Quality Engineering practices and processes
  • Experience in process monitoring, data collection, analysis, and metrics reporting
  • Experience with root cause corrective actions (RCCA).

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have: 

  • Experience managing people preferred.
  • Active Top Secret Clearance.
  • Knowledge of Agile development processes.
  • Experience with DOORS, CAMEO, JIRA, and other SW Development products.
  • Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering or Computer Science
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of Cyber Engineering processes.

Primary Level Salary Range: $104,500.00 - $173,300.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
