ABOUT THIS ROLE
As a Sensor Integration Engineer at LVT, you will be a key contributor within the Product R&D department; responsible for testing, certifying, and sustaining the sensor product line. This role blends hands-on testing, technical validation, and cross-functional collaboration to help deliver industry-leading sensor capabilities — from cameras and radar to thermal and other detection systems.
You will collaborate closely with both external vendors and internal stakeholders including engineering, product management, and quality assurance teams. Responsibilities include planning and executing validation and integration testing procedures for a wide variety of sensor types, ensuring devices meet performance standards, and integrate into the LVT system. Actively contribute to the full lifecycle of sensor devices — including technical evaluation and certification, firmware and software integration, long-term support, and product sustainability.
This role requires a methodical approach to testing, strong documentation practices, and a passion for continuous improvement. You will help define and refine testing protocols, contribute to root cause analysis for integration issues, and ensure our sensors continue to deliver accurate detection and actionable data.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 2+ years of experience working with vendors (hardware and/or software)
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in a validation, testing, or integration role
- Proven ability to work in a team environment
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, IT or Equivalent Technical Training/Experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with camera and other sensor technologies
- Security industry experience
- IOT experience
- Python scripting experience
