We are seeking an experienced Senior Yardi System Specialist to support, maintain, and optimize our Yardi environment across multiple business functions and properties. This role will serve as a subject matter expert for Yardi applications, provide advanced troubleshooting and reporting support, collaborate with operational teams, and assist with system upgrades, integrations, and process improvements.
The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on Yardi experience, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently while supporting end users across the organization.
This is an In-house position located in Newport News, VA.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer, support, and maintain property management software platforms and related applications
- Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, user access concerns, and data discrepancies
- Configure workflows, permissions, dashboards, and system settings
- Provide advanced support to accounting, operations, and property management teams
- Assist with system upgrades, testing, implementations, and migrations
- Assist Integrations and Project Manager with property acquisitions, dispositions, and property terminations, including system setup and data transitions
- Coordinate software setup and transitions for newly acquired properties
- Support and maintain third-party integrations and troubleshoot integration-related issues alongside the Integrations and Project Manager.
- Assist Integrations and Project Manager with setup, configuration, testing, and ongoing support of third-party software solutions
- Create and maintain system documentation, procedures, and training materials
- Analyze business processes and recommend system enhancements and efficiencies
- Coordinate with software vendors and internal stakeholders on projects and initiatives
- Support data integrity initiatives and audit processes
- Train end users and provide ongoing functional support
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience supporting and administering property management software systems
- Experience with platforms such as Yardi, MRI, Entrata, RealPage, or similar enterprise property management systems
- Strong understanding of property management operations and related business processes
- SQL experience preferred
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously
- Experience supporting enterprise software in a multi-property or multi-site environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting both residential and commercial property portfolios
- Experience with software integrations, APIs, and data migration projects
- Knowledge of accounting and property management processes
- Experience participating in large-scale software implementations or conversions
